Some software titles are only available when on-campus, or you may have some data stored on your office computer or department network file storage.
To access these resources, you need an active VPN connection and a remote desktop connection to your office PC. The IST Service Desk can assist you with configuring your office PC for remote access. Please note your office PC must be powered on and have an active internet connection for remote access. If it is shut off it cannot be started remotely.
Access To Your Office Phone
Jabber allows NJIT faculty and staff to make calls and answer phone calls to their office extension from their computer, mobile phone, or other devices, no matter where they are.
Video Conferencing Tools
WebEx video conferencing is available to NJIT staff and faculty. WebEx offers a seamless video, audio, and screen-sharing experience across desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
Google Drive and Google Shared Drives can be used to create documents, share them, and collaborate with others. The Google for Education collaboration suite includes Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets, Forms, Drawings, and more.
Microsoft Teams can be used if you are more familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
