Every student at NJIT is issued a UCID. Your UCID provides access to most NJIT computing services (e.g. Highlander Pipeline, WebMail by Google, Canvas, Webex). (more info)
Webmail by Google includes Google Drive, an online document creation and collaboration tool. Google Drive is the primary cloud storage solution for the NJIT community. Students are provided with unlimited storage. (more info)

NJIT is a computing-intensive university. Access to a personal computer is essential for the successful completion of an NJIT degree program. Each College and some programs have further requirements. NJIT partners with vendors to provide students with comptetitive discounts on pre-configured models meeting or exceeding the minimum requirements.
NJIT provides and maintains access to an extensive list of software available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Titles are made available to students in accordance with each license agreement - some can be downloaded directly to personal computers, while others are accessible only in the computing labs.
VPN allows you to securely access NJIT network resources from anywhere at any time. NJIT supports Cisco's AnyConnect VPN, which is compatible with a wide variety of devices.
The Robert W. Van Houten Library, NJIT’s university library, houses a core collection of print books, group study rooms and has an Information Commons computer lab and wireless access throughout the building.
Barbara and Leonard Littman Architecture and Design Library
Located in Weston Hall, the Barbara and Leonard Littman Architecture, Art and Design Library, a branch of the university library, maintains a core collection of architecture, art and design resources.
The IST Service Desk is the central hub for computing information and first point of contact for getting help and reporting issues related to computing technology at NJIT. The IST Service Desk is open 24 hours per day 7 days per week, and can be reached at (973) 596-2900.
