    Starting October 13, 2020, Google Drive is making a change so that its trash behaves more consistently with the rest of our G Suite services with regards to automatic deletion. This means that any file that is put into Google Drive’s ‘My Drive’ trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Any files already in a user’s trash will remain there for 30 days.

NJIT SOS

  • Services are restored – Webmail and Google Workspace – full services outage 12/14/2020

    Google is experiencing a widespread outage affecting NJIT’s Webmail and related Google Workspace services. We will continue to monitor and provide updates as they’re available.

  • Scheduled Outage Enterprise IT Service – Saturday, December 5th – Sunday, December 6th, 2020 12/04/2020

    IST will be applying operational and security updates to several systems from 9 pm Saturday, December 5th, to 11 am Sunday, December 6th, 2020. During this critical activity, many enterprise IT services (e.g. Banner, DegreeWorks, TouchNet, Infosilem) will be unavailable.


    Webmail and Canvas will be available throughout most of this maintenance window, however, you may experience intermittent interruptions. Academic research services (e.g. HPC, Big Data), network access and telephone service will not be affected.

    If you encounter any issues after 11 am on Sunday please report them to the IST Service Desk at 973-596-2900 or https://servicedesk.njit.edu

  • VPN Server Maintenance Tuesday night 11/24 at 11:59pm – 1am 11/24/2020

    On Tuesday night November 24 11:59pm – Wednesday morning November 25 1:00am, maintenance will be performed on the NJIT VPN server. During this maintenance window, VPN services will be unavailable for 15 minutes. Service will be restored before 1:00am.
