    Starting October 13, 2020, Google Drive is making a change so that its trash behaves more consistently with the rest of our G Suite services with regards to automatic deletion. This means that any file that is put into Google Drive’s ‘My Drive’ trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Any files already in a user’s trash will remain there for 30 days.

  • Cisco Jabber software Update – April 20, 2021 9:00pm 04/19/2021

    Starting on Tuesday April 20, 2021 9:00pm, CST will be upgrading Cisco Jabber software, on NJIT managed computers, to address a recently announced vulnerability.  During this process your computer will receive an updated version of Cisco Jabber and may require a reboot of your computer.

    If your NJIT device does not receive an auto update or you are using a personally owned computer / mobile device, please download and install the updated software package from https://ist.njit.edu/software-available-download#c or from your respective (Google/Apple) app stores.

  • Scheduled Webex Outage – Friday, April 16th – Sunday, April 18th, 2021 04/16/2021

    Cisco will be applying updates to NJIT’s Webex Data Center from 10 pm Friday, April 16th, to 3 am, Sunday, April 18th, 2021.  

    During this maintenance period, Webex video conferencing will continue to work.  However, recordings will be unavailable at njit.webex.com and new recordings will not be available until Sunday evening.

    Previously created recordings, hosted at mediaspace.njit.edu (Kaltura), are not affected and will remain available.

    If you encounter any issues after 2 pm on Sunday, please report them to the IST Service Desk at 973-596-2900 or https://servicedesk.njit.edu

  • Jabber Phone Maintenance – April 15, 2021 9pm 04/15/2021

    On Thursday April 15, 2021 9:00pm to 11:59pm, CST will upgrade the hardware supporting the Cisco Jabber phone service. The Jabber service is redundant and your mobile device or PC may see an outage for a few seconds during this maintenance period. The maintenance will not impact office telephones.
