    Starting October 13, 2020, Google Drive is making a change so that its trash behaves more consistently with the rest of our G Suite services with regards to automatic deletion. This means that any file that is put into Google Drive’s ‘My Drive’ trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days. Any files already in a user’s trash will remain there for 30 days.

  • MyUCID Maintenance 07/16/2021

    MyUCID Management will undergo maintenance on Monday, July 19th between the hours of 12:00am – 6:00am. MyUCID account and password management will be unavailable during the maintenance window. Other IT services, e.g. Banner, DegreeWorks, Webmail and Canvas are unaffected and will remain available.

    If you encounter any issues after 6am on Monday please report them to the IST Service Desk at 973-596-2900 or

  • Webex Outage 06/17/2021

    On 6/17/2021 Cisco pushed an unexpected update to NJIT’s Webex service. As a result of this update, the following problems have been observed:

    • Students, faculty, and staff have been unable to join Webex meetings
    • The Webex Meeting application on mobile devices is not working
    • Delays logging into Webex 
    • Webex Events are failing to launch

    Cisco is aware of this issue and the Information Services & Technology (IST) Division is working with them to resolve these issues. 

    In the interim, the following steps have resolved this issue in most cases:

    • Uninstall the Webex application on your computer and/or phone
    • Restart your device
    • Install the latest version of the Webex application
    • Start and/or connect to your meeting

    Alternatively, Google Meet can be used instead of Webex.

  • Canvas and unavailable 6/12/21 2:20-3:35pm 06/12/2021

    On Saturday June 12, 2021 2:20pm – 3:35pm, network connectivity from the NJIT campus to the campus website and Canvas was unavailable. Service was restored at 3:35pm. The problem was due to an issue with our Internet2 service provider. Our provider is currently researching the issue.
