SAS @ NJIT
SAS is a statistical software package used for predictive and descriptive modeling, data mining, text analytics, forecasting, optimization, simulation, experimental design and more.
SAS University Edition
SAS University Edition is free online access to the SAS software for students for learning statistics and quantitative methods. This is not a full version of SAS. It contains Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS/ML, SAS Studio, and SAS Access. Can be downloaded directly from SAS and runs on PC and Mac or launched in a cloud via Amazon Web Services. Can be installed on any personal or NJIT owned machine. SAS University Edition runs as a virtual machine on your native operating system and is available to use via a web browser.
- To install SAS University Edition follow the Quick Start Video. You will be required to create an account with SAS. Use your NJIT email (UCID@njit.edu) to create SAS profile.

SAS OnDemand
SAS OnDemand for Academics allows faculty members to include their entire class to have access to all of the SAS features. This software cannot be downloaded and can only be used via the internet in the SAS Cloud.

Available only to staff and faculty. You can download SAS Education Analytical Suite from our IST Software Download page.
Computing Labs
SAS University Edition is installed on NJIT computing labs. If you are using SAS in the labs you must export all your files to external or cloud storage. Otherwise your files will be available to anyone who access SAS.

Installation Instructions
- Unzip all 5 files that you downloaded from the IST Software Download website. Open 9C711W_ds01 folder and double click on setup.exe to start the installation process.
- Wait for the setup program to load. Choose Language and click OK.
- SAS Deployment Wizard will start.
- Select the Install SAS software option and click the Next > button.
- Review information below and click the Next > button.
- SAS will start Checking System process. Click Next > when finished.
- Click Start to begin installation process.
- You will be asked multiple times to choose different folder / insert disk to complete the installation. Click on Browse button and choose appropriate folder. If they asked you to insert SAS Software Disk 1 you will choose 9C711W_ds01, if they asked you to insert SAS Software Disk 2, you will choose 9C711W_ds02, ect.
- 9C711W_ds01: SAS Software Disk 1
- 9C711W_ds02: SAS Software Disk 2
- 9C711W_ds03: SAS Software Disk 3
- 9C711W_ds04: SAS Software Disk 4
- C711W_ds05: SAS Software Disk 5
- After the installation is completed you will see the Deployment Complete window. Click Next >.
- Read the information about additional resources and click Finish.
License Update
To download license file for SAS 9.4 please go to software download page. Note: After the license expires, you can continue to use SAS for 90 days. During the last 45 days of this grace period, you will receive a message reminding you to renew the license but will still be able to use the software.
