Data Governance Sub-Committee (DGS)

The Data Governance Sub-Committee is charged with developing a set of principles and practices that ensure quality data through the complete lifecycle of organizational data. 

• Consider the who-what-how-when-why of data to ensure security, consistency and compliance, and to extract value from all data that is collected and stored across the organization – with the sole purpose of improving outcomes. 
• Define data standards to ensure data consistency, develop rules, standards, and policies for cleansing data, map data from source to target and identify transformation rules, and identify potential data irregularities and develop processes to resolve them. 
• Integrate data retention, privacy, security, and risk requirements into data standards and data management procedures.
