ProctorU Record+
ProctorU Record+, is an automated proctoring solution that uses Artificial Intelligence during the exam. Both you and your screen are recorded throughout the duration of the exam, followed by a full review from a ProctorU proctor. The proctor then sends an incident report to the instructor if any potential academic integrity violations occur.
In using ProctorU Record+, students need:
- Guardian Browser
 - High-speed internet connection
 - Webcam (internal or external)
 - Microphone and Audio (internal or external)
 - Windows or Apple Operating System
 - NJIT ID or Photo-Issued ID
 
Recommendations for students in using ProctorU Record+
- Create a ProctorU account and confirm your email address.
 - Download Guardian Browser.
 - Test your equipment prior to your proctoring session. It is recommended you click on the button that says "Connect to a Live Person" to fully test out your equipment.
	
- Important Notice for OSX Users: You will need to enable screen sharing in your browser prior to taking the exam.
 
 - Try one of the following practice quizzes:
 - When it is exam time, log into the ProctorU browser extension.
 - Navigate to your exam in Canvas, and click “Take the Quiz” to begin the startup sequence.  
	
- Note: If you are asked for an access code, it means you are accessing the quiz through Guardian Browser. Start up Guardian Browser to log in and begin again.

Tips for Ensuring a Smooth Experience while using Record+
- Important: ProctorU recommends that you test your equipment prior to your proctoring session. We recommend you click on the button that says "Connect to a Live Person" to fully test out your equipment.

 - Make sure you are logged out of your ProctorU account in all other browser tabs/windows.
 - Do a computer/browser restart right before taking the exam.
 - Whenever possible, use an ethernet (wired) connection when taking an exam. Intermittent lag, timeouts, and dropped/interrupted connections may occur via wireless connection and can cause issues such as Record+ (formerly called Review+) disconnecting from the exam, freezing-up on users with weak/slow connections, quiz answers not being saved or submitted, and embedded images in the quiz loading very slowly or not at all.
