The Data Analytics group at NJIT leverages data for strategic decision-making to advance institutional goals. The team operates at the intersection of technology, statistics, and domain expertise to provide actionable insights that empower stakeholders across the university.

 

The Data Analytics group provides advanced predictive and descriptive analytics capabilities to the university through the integration of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The team plays a pivotal role in transforming data into a strategic asset for the university to drive progress and innovation.

Some recent projects include:

  • An enrollment forecasting tool that monitors daily enrollment trends and projects final enrollment and tuition revenue
  • A visualization of students' movement out of and into academic programs
  • An analysis of transfer student outcomes
  • An examination of NJIT's placement among the Carnegie Classification's R1 (Very High Research Activity) and R2 (High Research Activity) institutions based on the new methodology proposed by the American Council on Education
