Note each Android device, version, and flavor is slightly different. These instructions are generalized. Some Android 11 phones may not support the "Request Status" setting for the CA Certificate. If your Android 11 does not connect, try the Android 10 settings. Validating the certificate for Android 11, if supported, is more secure and recommended.
1. Open Settings on your Android device
2. Select Connections, and then Wi-Fi and make sure it is turned on. If you are in range of NJITsecure you will see it listed.
3. Tap on the NJITsecure to configure as shown below in the following screens.
For EAP method select PEAP.
For Phase 2 authentication select MSCHAPV2.
For CA certificate
Android 10 and below
Select Don't validate, None, or Unspecified
Android 11 and above
Select Request Status
For Domain enter njit.edu
For Identity
Android 10 and below: enter your UCID
Android 11 and above: enter UCID@njit.edu
Leave Anonymous identity blank.
Use your UCID password for Password
Select Auto reconnect if you wish to connect automatically to this network.
