2: What do I do if I get MATLAB Error -9?

Matlab Error -9 usually occurs when the username in the license file does not match your user login. This can happen on Windows systems when you change networks - changing domain controllers can change the capitalization of your username. What that basically means is that Matlab has gotten confused and is not sure what to do. There are several solutions available for this issue. 3: What do I do if I get MATLAB Error 983 or 340?

This error indicates that the account being used is a student account, and not a professional or academic account. You will need to edit your mathworks.com account profile to change the usage type from "Student Use" to Academic Use." If you do not see the option in your "Edit Profile" screen, you will need to create a new professional/academic account associated with a different email address, or contact Customer Service to get the account recreated as a professional or academic account.
