Introducing MyUCID Management

The IST division is excited to announce the launch of MyUCID Management, an easy way to manage your UCID and NJIT passwords using a modern web-based interface.  Improvements include:

  • Additional security features to keep your account secure
  • The same password applied anywhere you use your UCID (e.g. Webmail by Google, Highlander Pipeline, Moodle, Banner, NJITsecure wireless network)
  • A single password that will not expire for a year
  • The ability to send a password reset code to a cell phone or alternate email address
To use MyUCID Management students, faculty, and staff can go to http://myucid.njit.edu and Claim Your UCID. The claim process is as follows:
  1. Verify your identity - To verify your identity you will need to know your NJIT-ID. If you need help finding your NJIT-ID, visit the MyUCID FAQ page.
  2. Review and accept NJIT’s Acceptable Use Policy for Cyber Resources
  3. Create security questions and provide alternate contact information - to reset your password in the event that you forget your password.   
  4. Create a new password - This new password will be good for one year.
The claim process should not take more than 5-10 minutes. Once you have completed the process you must update your password on all your devices, including the NJITsecure wireless network on your cell phone or laptop, and any email clients you use.
