Major Update to Gmail Service

Google has released a major update to Gmail services. The Google update includes a new look and feel with many new features added to enhance users experience, better security, and improved integration with other G Suit applications.

What are some of the features of the new Gmail?

  • Quickly take action on messages (point to a message) to archive them, delete, snooze until later, or mark as read/unread.
  • Use Smart Reply (Gmail suggested responses), Nudging and follow-ups.
  • Show or hide sidebars from the inbox to create more room for emails.
  • See or click attachments in inbox before ever opening an email.
  • Change how spacious or compact you want your inbox view.
  • New and improved security measures.
  • New sidebar enables users to create or edit Calendar invite, capture ideas in Keep, manage to-dos in Tasks, and access Gmail Add-ons.
  • Quick Links that allow users save searches and access them with just 1-click.

Should I make the switch?

We recommend that power users, those that are comfortable with Gmail, and love to tinker with new features will make the switch now.

How do I switch?

Open your Webmail by Google Gmail account. In the top right, click Settings, and click on Try the new Gmail.

Can I switch back?

If you change your mind, you can click Settings, and then Go back to classic Gmail.
