Using Turnitin at NJIT

NJIT has a contract with Turnitin.com to offer faculty a method to check student papers online for possible plagiarism.  NJIT's Turnitin service is typically administrated through Moodle. Each instructor can create Turnitin assignments in Moodle.

Why use Turnitin?

  • Ensures students are using good sources
  • Teaches good habits for sourcing papers
  • Allows instructors to determine if a student submission was plagiarized

To get started using Turnitin please login to your course at http://moodle.njit.edu. You can find faculty tutorials on Turnitin and how to use Turnitin in Moodle from there.

If you need additional assistance with Turnitin please contact the IST Service Desk in which you can setup an appointment with an Instructional Designer for training.
