How do I configure Outlook Express to join newsgroups?

  1. Launch OUTLOOK EXPRESS.
  2. Click the TOOLS menu on the top of the window.
  3. Click on ACCOUNTS... from the drop down menu.
  4. Click ADD in the "Internet Accounts" window.
  5. Select NEWS...
  6. In the "Display name:" field type YOUR NAME.
  7. Click NEXT.
  8. In the "E-mail address:" field type YOUR UCID@NJIT.EDU.
  9. Click NEXT.
  10. In the "News (NNTP) server:" field type NEWS.NJIT.EDU.
  11. Click NEXT.
  12. Click FINISH.
  13. Click CLOSE to close the "Internet Accounts" window.
  14. Click YES to download newsgroups.
  15. Your are now ready to access Usenet Newsgroups with Outlook Express.
