1. How do I set my Outlook mailbox size with Google Apps Sync?

2. My message failed to send returning a MIME conversion error message.

3. My Outlook is Offline and not syncing.

If you experience problem with Outlook going offline sometime after October 20, 2014 you must re-authenticate again to use Google Apps Sync.

The latest release of Outlook Google Apps Sync may require re-authentication. 
Google is constantly making improvements to their "Google Apps Sync tool" that is used by our Microsoft Outlook users. As updates are released the "Google Apps Sync tool" will periodically update automatically. The latest release requires users to enter their credentials after the update. Until the credentials (UCID login and password) are entered Outlook will go offline and not synchronize mail.

Note these instructions and screen shots may be somewhat different depending on the version of MS Outlook you are using.

If your Outlook is offline and not syncing:

1.  Switch Outlook from offline to online. (To find out how to switch from working offline to online click here.)
2.  Re-initiate a sync by clicking "Send/Receive All Folders".
3.  If your default internet browser will open - login to Webmail by Google.
4.  A window will appear with a long list of items, scroll down to the bottom of the screen to accept them.
5.  Outlook will start and sync to retrieve your email.

4. For my contacts, I get an error "failed to connect to 'njitdm.campus.njit.edu' because of invalid authentication.

If you receive this error this is because you changed your NJITDM password and need to update your password for your Global Address Book. To do so open Outlook, click file. click the "Account Settings" button, click "Account Settings...", click on the "Address Books" tab, in the list, click on the option that has your email address in the "Name" field, highlight that option by clicking on it, then click the "Change..." button, then click the "Change Password..." button, enter your password information and check the "Save this password in your password list" box and click ok. Your address book should now be updated preventing this error message.

5. My Global Address Book isn't returning the correct / any results.

Note these instructions and screen shots may be somewhat different depending on the version of MS Outlook you are using.

When using the Address book you must select the "More Columns" and "Global Address Book" and then you can perform your search. See the image below.
