AFS Password Expiration Notification

The password expiration information on this page applies only to AFS accounts; it does NOT apply to :

NJITDM or ALPHA accounts
ACADEMIC domain

Notifications of impending expiration of a user's AFS password, or a recently expired AFS password, are mailed to <yourUCID>@njit.edu; these notifications are from AFS-pw-mgr@oak.njit.edu. Password expiration dates are re-calculated daily.

The table below numbers different cases that correlate to those in AFS password expiration notices sent to <yourUCID>@njit.edu

IV	Between 0 and 1 day from present	mail sent to <yourUCID>@njit.edu, once	Visit http://afspassword.njit.edu or the Unattended Password Reset page.
V	Between present and 30 days ago	mail sent to <yourUCID>@njit.edu, once	Visit http://afspassword.njit.edu or the Unattended Password Reset page.
VI	More than 30 days ago	None	Contact the IST Computing HelpDesk: (973) 596-2900 or the Computing HelpDesk page.

(Note: "present" refers to the time at which the expiration date of the AFS password is calculated)
