Apple Macintosh support at NJIT
ACS will provide the following support for NJIT-owned Macintosh computers only. ACS will not support personally-owned Macintosh computers. For personally-owned Macintosh computers, please contact Apple’s technical support or visit http://www.apple.com/retail for a complete listing of Apple Stores.
Software Support
ACS provides only basic support for the Macintosh operating system, versions 10.4 and above. This support includes assistance with configuring access for NJIT’s network, assistance with installing and troubleshooting NJIT-licensed software, and assistance with installing and troubleshooting NJIT-owned printers. ACS requires a copy of each software license prior to offering support for the software. The software license must be for NJIT use, not for personal use. ACS cannot assist in the installation or configuration of any Windows operating system onto a Mac. This includes Apple’s BootCamp software and any 3rd party virtualization software. For help with installing Windows on a Mac, the computer must be taken to an Apple store, where it will be properly serviced by Apple employees. Please visit http://www.apple.com/retail for a complete listing of Apple Stores.
Hardware Support
ACS will not assist with diagnosing, troubleshooting, or repairing Macintosh hardware-related issues. For such issues, the computer must be taken to an Apple store, where it will be properly serviced by Apple employees. Please visit http://www.apple.com/retail for a complete listing of Apple Stores.
