If your department is interested in purchasing a NJIT PC for institutional use, NJIT has several options available at discounted rates from Dell. These authorized machines come preloaded with various NJIT licensed software. These Dell computers come in three different configurations: base, standard, and advanced.
The base configuration of each computer is the least expensive due to their low computational power. These models are generally designed for low level computing (Word, Excel, e-mail viewing, web browsing etc) and may have little to no ability to be upgraded later.
The standard configuration of each computer is more expensive than the base, but are generally configured to handle more advanced computing processes, such as running multiple applications at the same time and using more hardware intensive software.
The advanced configuration of each computer is the most expensive configuration, and is designed for intensive computer use. Graphics development, design and in-depth programming applications are some of the applications this configurations are designed to handle.
The following is a list of each of the Dell models available. These models are subject to change and availability.
