Student Computers
Since access to a personal computer is essential for successful completion of an NJIT degree program, the university requires all incoming undergraduates to have access to a computer in their places of residence. Freshmen and transfers entering the New Jersey School of Architecture have more specific requirements. (more info)

Student Organizations
As of October 2009, no new club accounts will be created for student organizations. The services previously provided to clubs, such as web hosting and storage space, will be provided in a new way. (more info)
News Server
Members of the university community can subscribe to Usenet newsgroups as well as local newsgroups. Usenet is a public bulletin board system on the Internet for news and electronic mail. (more info)
Printing to a Canon Copier
Canon Printing Services recently updated some of the Canon copiers used in various locations on campus. If your department head has coordinated with Canon to use the copier as a printer, you can download and install the printer driver to your computer. (more info)
Remote Desktop Connection
With Remote Desktop on Windows 7, XP Professional or Vista, you can have access to a Windows session that is running on your computer when you are at another computer. This means, for example, that you can connect to your work computer from home and have access to all of your applications, files, and network resources as though you were in front of your computer at work. Institutional Computers
If your department is interested in purchasing a PC for Institutional use, NJIT has several options available at discounted rates from Dell. These authorized machines will come preloaded with various NJIT licensed Software. Most of these computers come in three different configurations: base, standard, and advanced. (more info)
