Complete the New Account Request Form.
  • This form will create most of the necessary accounts for you.
    • UCID stands for University Computing ID
    • Your Webmail by Google email is YOURUCID@njit.edu. You have 7 GBs of e-mail space available to you. The web interface provides easy access.
    • Academic Windows provides access to most any computer on campus running Microsoft Windows (including those in the public computing labs).
    • AFS is the primary UNIX environment here at NJIT. Services include programming, computation, graphics, visualization, and many other applications. 125MB of personal file storage/backup/web space is also available.
  • Your UCID and UCID password are used to access many systems here at NJIT, including Highlander Pipeline, Webmail by Google email, WebCT, and Campus Directory.
  • Your UCID username is used to access most other systems here at NJIT, including Highlander AFS and Academic Windows.
Note that your UCID password is managed separately from the passwords to these systems, so they may differ.
