Smart Classroom technology, provided by Instructional Technology and Media Services, is available for instruction and presentation use. Smart Classrooms have the ability to project a computer or video image and access the Internet. There are two types of Smart Classrooms you can utilize. The traditional "smart cart" contains a computer, LCD projector, VCR, and amplified speaker. A portable Smart Classroom replaces the "smart cart" with a laptop and portable LCD projector. Presentation Equipment

Faculty members wishing to utilize special presentation equipment can do so through ITMS. ITMS has an inventory of over 1500 pieces of presentation equipment that support the use of technology in the classroom, as well as supporting presentation technology for seminars, conferences, and other campus-wide events. Everything from DVD players to projectors is available. Equipment can be delivered or picked up. more info

Interactive Television

Interactive Television allows for live two-way instruction from NJIT to a remote site. An instructor teaches a "face to face" class while a remote site receives this broadcast. The instructor receives a similar feed from the remote site allowing both parties to interact in real time. more info

Satellite Teleconferences

The reception of educational programming is available via satellite. Programming can be for viewing only or in some cases, contain interactivity. more info

Video Conferencing

Live two-way interaction from NJIT to a remote site for conferences is available. An NJIT conference can take place on campus while a remote site receives this broadcast. NJIT receives a similar feed from the remote site allowing both parties to interact in real time. more info
