EndNote© is used by researchers, students, scholarly writers, and librarians for citation management. The most recent update, EndNote X2 for Windows, is now available for download. This new version of EndNote will only work with Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007.
With EndNote©, you can:
- Search bibliographic databases on the Internet
- Organize references, images and PDFs
- Construct your paper with built-in manuscript templates
- Watch the bibliography and figure list appear as you write!

EndNote Web is also available. EndNote Web is the web version designed so you can use EndNote when not at your computer. VPN is required to use EndNote Web. EndNote and EndNote Web can be used in conjunction with each other but final formatting needs to be done in EndNote if you use both products.
