Please note: Upgrading to Office 2007 is not required nor recommended. For compatibility with the new file format, you should install the file converters in case you receive Office 2007 files from others. The file converters can be found here. Office 2007™ General Information
Microsoft released Office 2007 on January 30th 2007. NJIT has not yet released Office 2007 to its community.
Information about the use of Office 2007
There are notable differences from previous versions of Office which may prevent you from easily using certain Office tools for your daily tasks. Adapting to this new interface may be problematic for people who are familiar with the user interface (menus) of previous versions of Office and require a learning curve. NJIT community members should not upgrade to Office 2007 until receiving specific training on Office 2007. A training schedule for employees that includes Office 2007 is or will be available at the TLT website.
An Office 2007 FAQ is available to answer many of your questions. We urge you to periodically read it for up-to-date news. In addition to the information on that page, we offer web-based resources regarding Office 2007. If you have any questions not answered on those pages, please see Microsoft's Office 2007 online resources, or contact the IST Computing Helpdesk.
