1: When can I obtain Office 2007 from NJIT?
Office 2007 is currently unavailable for download due to outstanding compatibility issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It will be released sometime in late 2008.

2: Should I upgrade to Office 2007?
There are notable differences from previous versions of Office which may prevent you from easily using certain Office 2007 tools for your daily tasks. Adapting to this new interface may be problematic for people who are familiar with the user interface of previous versions of Office. NJIT community members should not upgrade to Office 2007 until receiving specific training on Office 2007.

3: Can I install Office 2007 on a computer running Windows XP?
Yes; Office 2007 will run on Windows XP, but you are not required to upgrade to it.

4: Can I install Office 2003 on a computer running Windows Vista?
Yes, Office 2003 will run on Windows Vista, but NJIT is not currently supporting Windows Vista. Return to top.
5: Are Office 2003 documents compatible with Office 2007?
Yes, Office 2003 documents are compatible with Office 2007. However certain features, such as macros and formulas in Excel, may not function properly within Office 2007.

7: Does NJIT offer any training for Office 2007, and where can I find additional support resources?
IST will offer face-to-face training for employees on Office 2007 as soon as we release Office 2007. We also offer web-based resources regarding Office 2007. There is much more web-based information on Office 2007 located on Microsoft's Office website.
