Using the OpenAFS Client in the Computing Labs
Using the OpenAFS Client in the Computing Labs

  1. If you get the "AFS Logon" error, your Academic Windows and Highlander AFS passwords are not synchronized (the same). Therefore, the H-drive will not automatically appear as a network drive. Click OK and wait for the Windows login process to be completed.

  2. In the system tray, on the bottom right of the screen, click the AFS Client icon (lock).

  3. Click Obtain New Tokens...

  4. Enter your UCID and your Highlander AFS password. Click OK.

  5. Close the AFS Client window. Your AFS directory is now mapped as the computer's "H-Drive."
