1: Where can I get AntiVirus software?
- You must download and install McAfee VirusScan directly from the Academic Computing Software Distribution Web Site. If you are off campus, you will need a VPN connection in order to install the software.
- Faculty and staff can request a personal visit from a CMF technician for installation. Contact the Computing Helpdesk.

2: How do I update my AntiVirus software?
You must update McAfee VirusScan directly from the Academic Computing Software Distribution Web Site. DO NOT attempt to update from McAfee's website or any other location, or else your copy of McAfee will be an unregistered trial version. If you update or install a copy of McAfee VirusScan from any where but the Academic Computing Software Distribution Web Site, you will most likely recieve a "Grant Number Request"error. This number cannot be supplied; The only solution is to remove McAfee Viruscan from you computer. After removal, you must download and install the NJIT copy of McAfee VirusScan directly from the Academic Computing Distribution Web Site.
If you are off campus, you will need a VPN connection in order to install the software. STEP 2 will have a download link for the latest virus definitions.
