* If you are using an older version of Matlab and wish to continue using that version, the new license key will work for your version of Matlab. You must have your original installation disc to update your license file. *
1. Insert the Matlab 2007a CD into your CD-ROM drive. When the MathWorks Installer comes up, select the second radio button in the splash screen.
2. If a License Update Warning appears, just click the OK button.
3. The License Information window will appear, enter the new license key in the appropriate area. The key can be obtained by visiting http://ist.njit.edu/software/download.php - Find Matlab 2007a in the download list, then request the product key from the website.
3. When the License Agreement appears, click the Yes radio button, the click the Next > button.
4. Unless you have installed Matlab to a different directory, use that location, otherwise leave it untouched. Then click the Next > button.
5. When the Confirmation dialog appears, click the Update > button.
6. After it updates the license, you are done. You may choose to start Matlab, or if you do not wish to start Matlab, just uncheck the checkbox. Click the Finish button.
