1: What User Name and Password do I use to log into Highlander Pipeline?

Your UCID and UCID password are used to log into Highlander Pipeline.

2: Is my connection to Highlander Pipeline secure?

Yes. Highlander Pipeline uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) with support up to high encryption (128-bit RC4) using an RSA 1024-bit public key.  Any time Highlander Pipeline asks you to submit personal or academic information, it will be sent via SSL if your browser supports it.

3: Who can use Highlander Pipeline?

Any member of the NJIT community who has a valid UCID and UCID password can use Highlander Pipeline.

4: I am unable to log into Highlander Pipeline with my UCID. What should I do?

First, double check that you are using the correct UCID. Please click here and search for your last name. Click on your entry in the "Name" column. Your UCID will appear in the field "UCID."

If you are not in the Campus Directory, you must apply for a UCID by clicking here.

If you are unable to create a UCID using the Online Application form, please contact the IST  Service Desk.

5: How do I extend my timeout length so I don't timeout so fast?

1. Log into Highlander Pipeline.
2. From any page, click the "Options" button at the top left of the page (next to the "Logout" button).
3. On the left side of the page, see the navigation titled, "User Options Menu."
4. Click "Timeout" under that navigation and you will be presented with the Timeout options page.
5. Use the drop-down menu to adjust your preferred timeout length and click the OK button.

2: How do I add teaching assistants (TAs) to the class list on Highlander Pipeline?

Contact your department or the Registrars Office to have your TA(s) added to the class list in Banner. Banner will then automatically add the TA(s) to Highlander Pipeline.
 

3: How do I view or export a Class Roster?

Click here to learn how to view and export the Class Roster. The Class Roster allows instructors to see the sections they are scheduled to teach, view who is enrolled in their classes, and send an email to individuals or the entire class.
