This free technical session will demonstrate how you can use EndNote for database creation and development, and their applicable uses.

When: Friday, March 28, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Where: New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) - Campus Center, Ballroom A.

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
During the presentation, you will learn how EndNote is used to create and populate a database. During the advanced topics session, methods of both searching for references and attaching files and graphics to these references will be discussed. You will learn about the different reference types, format styles and import filters. Demonstrations will show how to apply these techniques. This session will also provide you with an understanding of how EndNote’s "Cite While You Write” feature can generate bibliographies. Finally, if time permits, we will hold a Q&A after the presentation.

Advanced EndNote Topics:

  • How to search online for reference material
  • Which Search options are available
  • How to attach files and graphics to database references
  • How “Cite While You Write” can be used to generate a bibliography
