Email is an essential aspect of communication for NJIT students, faculty, and staff. All members of the NJIT community are issued an official NJIT email address of the form yourUCID@njit.edu. Students should familiarize themselves with NJIT's policy on email for official communications to students.
Current NJIT Email Systems
Student/Alumni (Webmail by Google)
Webmail by Google is the email system for students and alumni affiliated with NJIT. (more info)
Faculty/Staff (ADM)
The primary email system for faculty and staff is ADM, which is built on a Microsoft Exchange platform that provides additional integrated tools for collaboration, meeting management, and more. (more info)
Previous NJIT Email Systems
Mailhost
Alumni accounts were transitioned to Webmail by Google during the Spring 2009 semester. With this transition, Mailhost is now used as a temporary email system for new employees at NJIT prior to the creation of an ADM account. (more info)
Oak
Oak was made available for users who prefer a command line interface to access many of the UNIX mail utilities such as Mush, Mutt, and Pine. All accounts on Oak will be migrated the Mailhost server. From there, students and alumni will be moved to Webmail By Google immediately. Faculty and staff accounts on will be moved to ADM at some time during the Spring 2009 semester. (more info)
