Cybersecurity @ NJIT

Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and each of us has a role to play in making the Internet safer, more secure and resilient. When we all take simple steps to be safer online, it makes using the Internet a more secure experience for everyone.

Strong Password Management

IST encourages changing all NJIT account passwords at least once every 4 months, for example at the beginning of the fall, spring, and summer semesters. (more info)

Change all NJIT passwords now at Global Password Change.

If you have a Webmail by Google IMAP password, you can change it separately here.

Virus & Malware Protection Center

NJIT licenses McAfee VirusScan Enterprise as protection against virus, spyware, adware, and malware threats for both your office computer AND your home computer. It is critical that this package is kept up-to-date to help protect your computer against the newest threats. (more info)
