Virtual Private Networking

Virtual Private Networking (VPN) allows you to use your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to connect to NJIT's local network. Certain network services at NJIT can only be accessed from an on-campus computer. VPN creates a "virtual" network connection to NJIT. Although you are off campus, it appears that you are connecting from the campus.

Services That Require VPN

  • Software Downloads
  • Searching Library Databases
  • Logging into the Banner system
  • NJIT News servers and Discussion Group

NOTE: Certain ISPs prohibit the use of VPN or have restrictions on its use. Please contact your ISP for information on using VPN with your Internet service before you proceed.
