The Computer Maintenance Facility (CMF) is the computer repair center for NJIT. CMF is one part of the Technology Support Center. Most NJIT-owned personal computers and peripherals are maintained by CMF. CMF technicians are certified by Dell Computer Corporation to perform warranty repairs and installations on specific approved models purchased through the NJIT-Dell partnership.
Current students can bring their malfunctioning NJIT-issued Aspect brand computer or their personally purchased NJIT-Dell partnership PC to the CMF counter in the Student Mall for repairs and hardware installations. Students owning a Dell PC purchased through our NJIT-Dell partnership also have the option of contacting Dell directly for next business day service and a house/residence hall visit by Dell if necessary. Please note that CMF does not make off-campus visits or residence hall visits at this time.
Faculty, staff, and researchers can contact the IST Helpdesk who will arrange an on-campus visit from a CMF technician for NJIT-owned desktop PC repairs and/or installation if necessary. Faculty, staff, and researchers are welcome to bring their NJIT-owned notebook PC to the CMF counter in the Student Mall for service.
