The Information Services & Technology Division provides a full range of central information technology services to support the university’s academic, research, student service, administrative, and public services initiatives. The Associate Provost for Information Services & Technology and Chief Information Officer oversees six functional departments:
- Technology Support Center
- Core Systems and Operations
- Telecommunications and Networks
- Academic and Research Computing Systems
- University Information Systems.
- Instructional Technology and Media Services

Collaboratively, these organizations provide a seamless and robust information resource and technology infrastructure utilizing the NJIT Cloud to students, faculty, staff, researchers, and alumni. As one of the most digitally-enabled campuses in the country, NJIT has long been recognized as a pioneer in the use of information technologies. For instance, in December 2014, Collegefactual.com ranked NJIT #1 as a Top College for a Computer Information Systems degree. Additionally, the Princeton Review features NJIT in the 2015 edition of its annual college guide as one of The Best 379 Colleges (Random House).
